The Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal invites online applications for the recruitment of Subedar (Stenographer), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk), and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Steno) for the Police Headquarters, Home (Police) Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh for the year 2025. The selection process involves a written examination followed by a second stage which includes document verification and a physical standards test.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025)

Candidates must be between 18 to 33 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories, females, and other specified categories of Madhya Pradesh (up to 38 years).

Eligibility Criteria

ASI (Clerk)

  • 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
  • One-year computer diploma/certificate.
  • CPCT scorecard for Hindi Typing.

ASI (Steno) & Subedar (Stenographer)

  • 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognized board.
  • Shorthand speed of 100 WPM.
  • One-year computer diploma/certificate.
  • CPCT scorecard for Hindi Typing.

Selection Process

Stage 1: Written Exam100 Marks / 2 Hours

  • General Knowledge: 25 Marks
  • General Hindi: 25 Marks
  • General English: 10 Marks
  • General Mathematics & Reasoning: 20 Marks
  • Computer Knowledge: 20 Marks
  • There will be no negative marking.

Stage 2: Physical Standards Test (Qualifying)

  • Height (Male): 162 cm
  • Height (Female): 152.4 cm
  • Chest (Male): 76.2 cm (unexpanded)
  • No physical efficiency test (like running, jump) will be conducted.

Salary / Pay Scale

Subedar (Stenographer)₹ 36,200 - 1,14,800
ASI (Clerk)₹ 25,300 - 80,500
ASI (Steno)₹ 25,300 - 80,500

A stipend (70%, 80%, 90%) will be applicable for the first three years of service as per government rules.

  2. It is mandatory for all candidates to have a profile registration on the portal. Aadhaar registration is also required.
  3. Fill out the online application form with the correct details for the recruitment test.
  4. Upload a color photograph, signature, and handwriting sample as per the prescribed format.
  5. Pay the application fee online via KIOSK or as a registered citizen.
  6. Submit the final application form before the deadline of 17/10/2025.
